Exploring Euphemisms in Bridgerton: Diamond of the First Water

The development of language affects speech cultures and modes communication. Politer terms were created to avoid misunderstanding. This phenomenon is called euphemism. Employing euphemisms while discussing sensitive topics can help people express their ideas politely. present study aims determine the types euphemism used in a famous television series entitled Bridgerton. research was conducted only on first episode series. qualitative employed content analysis as methodology. findings showed six identified, namely substitution, litotes, metonym, hyperbole, synecdoche, colour-based metaphor for x-phemism. Nevertheless, this analyzing Hence, results might have differed other episodes. Future researchers who are interested same topic may find that cannot cover.
